Burgundy Love

Pants-H&M
Top-F21
Shoes-Report via Ross
Jacket-Target
Cameo-Gift from Mom

Photo overload, I know....but all the beautiful fall colors left it so hard to pick just a few and the fact that I am sort of obsessed with this outfit didn't help either. In my last post, I had mentioned that I finally purchased the burgundy pants from H&M that I had been lusting over.....well here they are. I have been spotting these pants all over the blogosphere and just had to get my hands on some. I didn't know it was possible to have this much love for a pair of pants. So much in fact, that they didn't even have my correct size, so I opted to buy a size too large, because I wanted them that much. haha

I loved the idea of pairing the burgundy with soft pink and lace, faux leather and of course a little vintage flare with the cameo necklace.

It was my sweet hubs Birthday yesterday!! We started out the day with a yummy birthday breakfast of Spiced Pumpkin Pancakes, then later we hung out with some of his close friends and went to our favorite Thai place in our favorite neighborhood (Capitol Hill). After we ate, we all went for a nice walk around around the neighborhood and popped into a few shops. We then all headed back to our place, where we had mini chocolate cupcakes, the guys played video games and I discovered my love for hard cider! haha
Specifically Samuel Smith's Organice Cider. So delish. I totally have a new favorite drink.
Not sure why I had never tried hard ciders before, boy was I missing out! :)

Also, remember back when I hosted the baby shower a few months ago for my brother and his wife?! Well they had their baby boy today!! So happy for them and can't wait to meet the precious little guy. So excited to be his Aunt Lizzie!!

What did you guys do this weekend?! I hope it was great, whatever it was!

Black, White & Bows

Had to throw one in of the sweet hubs and I :)
Blouse-Target
Jeans & Cardi-Ross
Sandals-Payless

Do you ever find yourself creating outfits in your mind around an article of clothing that you don't even own yet? You daydream of all the ways you would style said piece until you can no longer take the torture, so you go purchase it.
White jeans have been that item for me lately. Something about white jeans just screams summer to me. Of course, the first thing I chose to pair them with is so not summery and bright.....black.
Meh, oh well.
At least I threw in some color with the pretty flowers, right?
Also, I can't get enough of this adorable blouse covered with little white bows. So sweet and it has my favorite collar ever, peter pan! Can you see it in the photos?

Hope you all had the most lovely of weekends! Mine was mostly awesome and partially not.
The awesome: My parents came and stayed with us. Lots of yummy food, shopping and laughter.
The not: My car totally died along the side of the highway as we were going to do said activities. An hour wait alongside the highway, tow truck ride to the shop and hopping into my parents car later, we were back on the road and our fun day resumed.
Now, we wait in horror to see how much the repair will cost. Eeeiiik.

Dream & Bliss: Part 1

Recently I was contacted with an offer to partner up with two local, Seattle based boutiques, Bliss and Dream. The two sister shops are conveniently located right across from each other in Fremont and are filled with on trend and affordable clothing and accessories. Not to mention, super sweet and fun staff, whom I got the pleasure of spending a few hours with this past Saturday afternoon.

It was honestly so hard to pick just a few looks, which explains why I walked out with 4 different outfits.

Look #1:
Flats: Steve Madden

I have been really lovin' bright skinny jeans lately, so when I saw these, I instantly was drawn to them.
Also, I couldn't get enough of this bright floral top! I love how relaxed and chill this look is and totally different from most things in my closet, it was so much fun to switch it up a bit.

Look #2:
Necklace:F21
Sandals:Payless

I was drawn to this bright blue, adorable Hi-Lo dress because of the great color, cute back cut-out detail and of course that simple fact that is is a Hi-Lo dress, which is all the rage right now.
I paired it with the fabulous big chunky ring, threw on a necklace and strappy sandals and called it good. Such an easy breezy early summer look.

*Be on the look out for Part 2, featuring my two other looks!
In the meantime, check out their website Finch & Sparrow and enter the discount code Lizzie12  to receive 15% off online orders.  This discount code is also valid for in-store purchases, so if you are in the area, I highly suggest checking these two wonderful boutiques out! Valid until 7/11/12!*

Put A Bird On It...

Top-Apricot Lane
Cardigan-Don't remember...so old.
Jeans-BDG
Sandals-Payless
Earrings-Apricot Lane

So I am sort of obsessed with birds. My first tattoo I got over 6 years ago is of two birds and I have been called a "bird lady" one too many times, because of all the birdie things I have owned.
I am sure you can imagine my level of excited when I first spotted this top because well, the obvious, birds....but also because the super bright and pretty color, it is sheer, it's asymmetrical and it has a peter pan collar that is blue! Super winning combo in my book!

Enough about birds, how is everyones weekend going so far?!
Mine has been pretty low key, which is always nice!
The hubs and I finally purchased a new dresser today, which we have been in dire need of.
I am slowly taking up all the closet space...Oppps :) So we decided it would be best to get a nice, large dresser so Tim can just put all his clothes in there.
Can't wait to get it all set up tomorrow and have an organized closet/bedroom once again!

Have a lovely one!

Make a Statement

Chambray Top-F21
Black Skinnies-Target
Necklace-Anthropologie
Oxfords-UO

For how obsessed I am with this statement necklace I am not sure why I don't wear it more often. It is so unique and eclectic, making any not-so-interesting or casual outfit a little more special. When throwing on this chambray top and black skinnies, I knew it would do the trick! My favorite part is the blue and coral gems and the pretty silk wrapped beads.

Do you ever have on of those weekend days where you are literally running errands all day, and upon getting home finally, you wonder how said errands took so long?!? Well, yesterday I had one of those days. I left home around 2pm and didn't get home till about 9 o'clock in the evening! I was pooped!
Thankfully, I took these photos at the beginning of the day and not at the end...or you would all be enjoying some photos of me laying on the couch, with wrinkled clothes and a sandwich in my hand.

I hope you all are having a great weekend! Do you have any specific accessories you like to add to a simple outfit to make it a little more interesting?!

Pastels & Sunshine

Blouse-Ruche
Blazer-H&M
Jeans-BDG
Oxfords & Belt-Target
Ring-Modcloth

Firstly, this weekend has been so unseasonably warm and unbelievably beautiful!
It has been in the mid to high 50's...so spring like...if only this weather would stick around *sigh*.
What has everyone been up to for their weekend?! My parents came up to visit us, which is always such a fun time! We went out for yummy Japanese food and then had the.most.DELISH.cupcakes.ever!
I don't know if cupcakes are still "cool", but if you ever are in the area, you must try one!

Secondly, look...I am wearing pants!! I don't think this has happened on here since this post.
I had really been jonesin' for some dark denim with a slight flare, and even though jeans aren't my fav to wear, I must admit I did need a nice pair.

Thirdly, I am sort of obsessed with my new blouse. Upon purchasing it online, I had no idea that the pattern was little butterflies, what a cute surpise :) Also, I am totally loving the pastel color combo thing, and what better way to sport it then on such a springy-winter day?!
