Red Skirt, White Shirt

Top-H&M

In my last post, you got a sneak peak of this outfit...well, the top half at least. This has been one of my favorite, go-to outfits lately. I have worn it more than I would like to admit, but can you really blame me? What's better than an owl, bicycles and lace all together in one look?! Not much, I tell ya!

I thought I would throw in one of the very few full length photos of me with my sweet frames on. Those babies really are fun to wear, but it's crazy how much glasses can change your appearance.

Oh my, it has been soooo dry here in the Seattle area lately, look how dead that grass is! When we were taking these photos, we kept saying how much it reminded us of Texas.....but then we looked up at the big, beautiful Evergreens and sighed in relief.

It's Friday tomorrow guys, that means the weekend is almost upon us! Are you doing anything fun?! I am getting my hair trimmed, which hasn't happened since last December. Eeeeiikkk! Lets just say my ends are looking pretty raggedy up close.
I am also greatly considering getting bangs!
What do you think? I need help...so any input either way is highly appreciated :)

Dream & Bliss: Part 2

Here are my last two looks from my recent collaboration with the local Seattle boutiques, Bliss and Dream

Look #3:
H&M Belt
Target black tank
Payless Sandals

So, I am sort of a little obsessed with this skirt. The two main reasons are the hi-lo hem and that it's an accordion skirt.... two things that I have been looking for in a skirt for awhile. It's a match made in clothing heaven in my book. Also, the color is sort of amazing too.
I paired it with the most perfect white linen blazer, ideal for layering in the summertime and something that I foresee being a wardrobe staple. So many easy, endless styling options.

Look #4:
Bar III Lace Shorts via Macys
Vintage Necklace
Target Belt
Steve Madden Flats

Out of all four looks, I felt most like myself in this one, probably because of how feminine, neutral toned and vintage inspired it is.
I love the cute little polka dots and tie detail of this sheer top, especially paired with some lace shorts.

Through this process I have learned something style-wise about myself that I wasn't conscious of or just never really considered before; I am not much of an accessorizer. I like to keep things simple, with just maybe a necklace, ring or belt and I don't tend to go over to top with any one item in particular. Accessorizing definetly has it's place, but I feel as though my main focus is always the outfit itself.

Have you recently found out anything about your personal style that you never really thought about before?

*Also, don't forget about this offer :)

I can't get enough of this color combo and twirly little skirt. I decided I needed to wear the skirt again while I still can get away with wearing tights, because unfortunately, it's a smidgen to short to wear without. Boooo.

So, how is everyone's weekend going?! Ours has been filled with warm weather and lots of sunshine. Yay! Yesterday we went to the Farmers Market where we picked up that beautiful bouquet for Tim's Mom for Mother's Day and that adorable little Lavender plant for our patio garden. Then we had lunch at the park, followed by meeting up with hubby's parents for a yummy dinner later on in the evening. Such a nice day it was!

Tonight we finally get to see one of our favorite bands in concert; Death Cab for Cutie. Can.Not.Wait! They are going to be backed by an Orchestra, so it should be extra amazing!!

Hope everyone has a great day and start to the week tomorrow!
Only 3 days of work for me this week, then headed off to SoCal to celebrate our 5th Anniversary in Disneyland...Eeeeep!!!

I want to ride my Bicycle,I want to ride my Bike...

Cardigan-Christmas gift from my awesome and super sweet sister-in-law & bro
Skirt & Oxfords-Target
V-neck-F21
Belt-UO

How was everyones weekend?! Great, I hope. I know mine was!
Yesterday was such a lazy Sunday, we didn't leave the house once and we stayed in our pj's all day, it was awesome. I finally got around to taking all our Christmas decorations down, can you say procrastination much? Now our apartment looks nice and back to normal. Does anyone else get super tired of lookin at all that stuff after awhile? I love Christmas time, but when it's done...it's done.

Sooo I love bicycles so much I figured I should start wearing them on my clothing. I do it with animals, why not with modes of transportation too? As soon as I saw this skirt, I got super giddy and snatch it right up.
I also really appreciate the pretty red color and cute button up detail.

P.S.
I really, really love black and brown together...and I don't care who knows it :)
