What's on your legs?

Cardigan-Thrifted Gap, Dress-Romy, Tights-H&M,
Over the Knee Socks-Target, Belt-UO, Bike Necklace-F21, Boots-Payless

If you read the P.S. section on my last Wishful Wednesday post, I said I would give you the details on the not-so-nice comment I got on these exact tights. So here it is:

Grandma: "What's on your legs?!?!" Me: "Tights.." Grandma: "Ewwww, what color are those?!".
Me: "Mustard Yellow." Grandma: "Those are UGLY!!!!!"
Me: "hahahahaha, they make tights/nylons in all different colors now... not just black, brown, navy and white..."

I knew it was only a matter of time till I heard something about these tights.....Oh Grams, I love you. haha :)

Also, that gray wool thrifted Gap cardigan is possibly the best item I have ever purchased while thrifting. I got it last year, but just recently started falling more in love with it. It is sooo cozy and warm that I don't even have to do much layering....$10 well spent.

P.S. I am a total copy cat and loved the above dress so much that I bought it even though my sister has the same one. Oppppps...sorry Brenna :p

  1. This post reminds me of a story from middle school. A group of us 12-year-olds were having an ever-so-important discussion on "skin tones." My middle school boyfriend said to me, "You have kind of a yellow skin tone." I said, "Yellow?" How does someone have a yellow skin tone?!" He replied, "Have you ever seen The Simpsons?"

I think your tights look great. ;)

  2. LOL I used to dye my hair a shade of metallic red and my Grandmother HATED it. And she was one classy, fabulously stylish lady. I love these tights and especially that you layered them with the knee socks!

  9. You know the funny thing is that I'm wearing that dress right now with a cardigan that is just about the color of your tights, almost the same belt and boots. Not to mention that your grandma made a really similar disapproving comment about tights I was wearing last christmas. I think they were purple paisley print. We should both wear some crazy tights on christmas and see what she says then.
