Happy Birthday, Blog!

Today is Place Clever Title Here... 2nd year of being a blog and

I sort of can't believe it!! Time flies, I tell ya.

I have had soooo much fun and truly enjoy, as well as greatly appreciate all the connections and opportunities this blog has brought me.

Each and every comment from all you lovelies, sincerely brings a smile to my face.

I was going to do something special for this post, but couldn't really think of anything else......so I leave you with a picture of me and my new hair.

If you saw this post, I mentioned how I was thinking about getting bangs. Well, I did it....and I am sort of in love.

By the Sea

This past weekend my whole family threw a surprise 50th Birthday party for my mom (hence the hilarious photo of her with the old lady hat and walker) at a Beautiful cottage on the Washington Coast. It was so unbelievably fun with all my immediate family, cousins, aunts, uncles etc. I can't recall a time in my adult life when I have had this much fun with my entire family. It was amazing.

Also, the weather was crazy awesome. The beaches of Washington rarely look as amazing as this in the Spring.....and it was warm and not very windy at all. So. Nice.

The above images were all my favorite from the weekend and are pretty self explanatory so no need to bore you with explanations, except one:

That photo of me and my dad.....totally slept in those clothes the night before, have zero makeup on, and did not even attempt to do anything to my hair. That's definitely a first on the blog...and probably the last. My only excuse for this, is that being around all the family and cousins and basically having one big sleepover, made me feel like I was 10 again, so all adult grooming standards were left behind.

Hope all of you are having a good start to the week!

It was definitely hard for me to get back to reality today.....here's to tomorrow being Tuesday!

Yup. I am getting old guys.

This weekend will be filled will family and friends, consuming delicious treats and going shopping/thrifting.

Blog's First Birthday!

Today marks 1 year since I started Place Clever Title Here...! 

I have had so much fun and am so happy that you guys have wanted to continue following me along this little blogging journey of mine.

I really appreciate all your kind comments and it's great to know that people are actually interested in what I have to share. Thanks for stickin' with me, even back when I only had 1 or 2 measly posts a month. 

Reflecting back, here is my first post ever:

Birthday Weekend

So I haven't blogged in well over a month. I have been fairly busy with work, classes for work, going out of town on the weekends or family coming up to visit on the weekends. This weekend was especially great and eventful. It was my 23rd birthday on Friday the 5th so we celebrated it this weekend. My husband and I have "birthday weekends", as we like to call them and celebrate our birthdays on the weekend closest to the actual day.

My parents came up on Saturday evening after I got off work and took me out to dinner which was delicious and fun. Then on Sunday my husband and I went into the city for a Top Pot doughnut and coffee date, as well as taking a nice stroll through downtown while crunching on pretty fall leaves that made their way to the ground and breathing in the crisp autumn air that we love so much.

Me after consuming a delish chocolate bavarian cream filled doughnut and a mocha laden with whip cream. That is a smirk of pure satisfaction.

With Birthdays, come gifts. My all time favorite is good ol' cash...which I did receive :) Today I went to the U-disrtict and hit up a few 2nd hand/consignment shops and found 2 dresses for only 21 dollars. I am a firm believer in never paying full price. I also don't mind wearing gently used clothing at all. I would have found more deals but I had to race the parking meters clock while scouring through the endless clothing racks...so I had to rush :/ Also, my husband got me a gift I had been wanting for a very long time, but never thought to buy when I had the extra dough. Tripod for my camera! Can. not. wait. to. use...
