A New Year, A New Dress

Dress-F21
Cardi&Oxfords-Target
Tights-HUE
Belt-UO

Or three new dresses thanks to Christmas money, but who's counting, right?!
If you follow me on instagram (@lizziepcth), you got a sneak peak of this outfit...which I am sort of in love with.

Sooooo, how are all those new years resolutions coming along so far? Great, I hope, especially considering we are only 5 days in. :) I am not one to really make resolutions, but if I had to choose something, it would have to be being more present and positive.
Not that I am a negative nelly or anything, but just working towards having a more positive outlook overall.

Do you lovelies have anything you would like to accomplish or improve in 2013?

Floral for Fall

hehe :)
Chambray-AE
Shorts-Free People
Infinity Scarf-H&M
Belt&Sweater Tights-Target
Knee Socks-Gift from friend-Uniqlo
Boots-Payless

How was everyones weekend?! Hopefully super amazing!
Mine was filled with Christmas shopping.  One of the few shopping centers I ended up going to, unknown to me, was having a tree lighting ceremony/festival. I obviously have impeccable timing, because I can't really think of a better day to try to accomplish finishing a shopping list than while being distracted by food vendors, Santa Clause, Christmas carolers and lots and lots of baby strollers decorated with flashing red and green lights. Although it was a bit distracting while trying to get gifts, it sure put me even more into the Christmas spirit....to the point where all gifts are bought, wrapped and already under the tree and it is only December 2nd. This doesn't happen for us. Ever.
I feel pretty accomplished..... and can't stop listening to the She & Him Christmas album.

Hope everyone has a great week! OH! and if you haven't already, follow me on instagram @lizziepcth  :)
I am still pretty new on there, so I would love to follow you lovelies as well!

Floral Denim

Shorts-Free People
Necklace-Vintage
Bag-Fossil
T-shirt, Sandals, Belt-Target

Remember back to this post when I mentioned the hubs bought me some pretties at Anthro & Free People? Well, these floral shorts are pretty, number uno. I had been trying to hunt down the perfect floral denim shorts to no avail, until I found these babes on sale, in my size, at Free People. Also, they just happen to be long enough for these legs of mine and thankfully, don't look like hot pants, which generally happens with shorts for me.

These photos were taken last weekend, before a fun filled night with a friend who was visiting from Texas. We went on Seattle's Great Wheel (photos to come!) and ate like fatkids at Beth's. It was great.
Looking at these photos, I am beginning to realize that, "the golden hour",  is quickly becoming my favorite time to take photos, especially during the summer when it is still warm in the evenings.
Do you have a favorite time of day to take photos?

Hope everyone is having a good day so far!

Polka Dots & Daisies

Dress: Anthropologie
Belt: Target
Flats: Payless

I came across this amazing little bridge when the hubs and I were on a walk one evening. I instantly knew it would be a perfect location to go back to and take some photos, especially on a bright, warm summer day. The river below was filled with kayaks, the paths busy with bicyclists and people that were on long, summer strolls.

Soooo about the dress. The moment I saw it, I had to have it. Seriously. It is so perfect in every way and there is no resisting the lovely, delicate, floral lace back. I love the retro fit, bright yellow color and fun print with the imperfect dots. This is the kind of dress that makes you feel happy from the moment you slip it on.
Do you have a certain piece that makes you feel that way too?

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, filled with fun and relaxation!

Dream & Bliss: Part 1

Recently I was contacted with an offer to partner up with two local, Seattle based boutiques, Bliss and Dream. The two sister shops are conveniently located right across from each other in Fremont and are filled with on trend and affordable clothing and accessories. Not to mention, super sweet and fun staff, whom I got the pleasure of spending a few hours with this past Saturday afternoon.

It was honestly so hard to pick just a few looks, which explains why I walked out with 4 different outfits.

Look #1:
Flats: Steve Madden

I have been really lovin' bright skinny jeans lately, so when I saw these, I instantly was drawn to them.
Also, I couldn't get enough of this bright floral top! I love how relaxed and chill this look is and totally different from most things in my closet, it was so much fun to switch it up a bit.

Look #2:
Necklace:F21
Sandals:Payless

I was drawn to this bright blue, adorable Hi-Lo dress because of the great color, cute back cut-out detail and of course that simple fact that is is a Hi-Lo dress, which is all the rage right now.
I paired it with the fabulous big chunky ring, threw on a necklace and strappy sandals and called it good. Such an easy breezy early summer look.

*Be on the look out for Part 2, featuring my two other looks!
In the meantime, check out their website Finch & Sparrow and enter the discount code Lizzie12  to receive 15% off online orders.  This discount code is also valid for in-store purchases, so if you are in the area, I highly suggest checking these two wonderful boutiques out! Valid until 7/11/12!*

Amongst the Tulips

Dress,Tights, Belt-Target
Sweater-Gift
Booties-F21
Friendship Bracelets:Brown/Beads-AE, Pink&Purple-Handmade(Benefits to Honduras dental mission)

Since we won't be able to make it to the tulip festival this year, I figured this pretty little patch in our local park would have to do. I actually wasn't even expecting to see this there, so it was such a nice surprise while Tim and I were on our little stroll. The weather this weekend has been amazing. While at the park, I so wanted to just lay down in the soft green grass and stare up at the pretty blue sky and the puffy clouds.....but the grass hasn't full dried out yet, and probably won't till July. Bummer.

How has everyones weekend been so far?! Just amazing I hope!!! :)

Spring Flowers

**A sneak peak into what I am actually doing in every third photo my hilarious & sweet husband takes for me**
Top- Romy
Shorts-Thrifted AE
Feather Necklace-F21
Tights-Target
Bow Flats-Steve Madden

Spring is finally here! Yay for birds chirping, sun shining and flowers blooming. To fit in and be one with nature, I decided to wear this floral top with pretty lace shoulders.
It was so nice yesterday when we took these photos at The University of Washington campus, that I didn't even have to wear or carry a cardigan with me! It.felt.amazing!

As you can see in the last photo there were a ton of people hanging out there. Apparently, every year people come from all over the country to see the Cherry Blossoms. It's sort of a big deal.
So, when we first arrived I was like "Uhhhh, I hope we can find an isolated area to take a few photos...".
That obviously didn't happen, but after I realized that no one actually cared about the weird girl posing under trees and that they were more interested in the Cherry Blossoms they traveled hundreds maybe even thousands of miles to see, my embarrassment soon faded.

I hope you all are having a glorious, sun filled weekend :)
